The EHDS gives every patient the right to see, download and pass on their own health data, free of charge and in the European exchange format (built on HL7 FHIR with the International Patient Summary at its core). The rights arrive through national access services, and the priority categories become exchangeable across borders on a fixed calendar.El EHDS da a cada paciente el derecho a ver, descargar y transmitir sus propios datos de salud, gratis y en el formato de intercambio europeo (basado en HL7 FHIR con el Resumen Internacional de Paciente en su núcleo). In the United States, interfering with a patient's access to their electronic health information is now a violation with real penalties. Certified health-record systems must expose a patient-facing API, so that an app you choose can fetch your records once you sign in at your own provider. Between now and 2031 your right to a copy is settled, while the structured European format reaches each document type on this calendar.
